Jaime Florcruz, ein ehemaliger Journalist, der Jahrzehnte in China tätig war, wurde von Präsident Marcos Jr. als neuer Botschafter für China ernannt. Der 71 jährige soll dort die unabhängige Politik der Philippinen vertreten.
Zitat:"I believe that we should continue our engagement with China, we should pursue the independent... policy that President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. elaborated, saying that in the community of countries, (we) should remain, continue to be friends for all and enemy of none," he said during the committee hearing.
